The Story Behind SonjayMisàn

Fragrance has the power to transport us to a memory, a feeling, a person. With SonjayMisàn, my aim is to create more than just perfume; to craft moments. Scents that linger long after we leave, bringing memories rushing back and keeping us connected to those we love. SonjayMisàn is not just a perfume brand, it is a love letter to friendship, unbreakable bonds, and the beauty of remembrance.

My name is Toke Tiffany Oriwomisan Fafowora, and SonjayMisàn is more than a title, it is a tribute.

I was born in Neasden, UK, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, surrounded by culture, warmth, and family. Among them was Sonia, my best friend, my sister in every way but blood. We shared everything: dreams, laughter, and a bond so deep it was both unexplainable and undeniable. To the world, she was Sonjay, but to me, she was “Best” not just a nickname, but a promise.

But life doesn’t always go as planned. On June 24, 2024, Sonjay moved on to a better place, leaving behind love, memories, and words left unsaid. The weight of that loss, of an unfinished conversation, is something I carry with me.

Rather than letting time diminish her presence, I chose to honor her the way she deserves, through something timeless, intimate, and unforgettable.
